This event will take place in the week of 4-8th of June 2018. We would like to invite all our colleagues from students affairs offices and other university support services and teachers to attend it.

By the start of March candidates will be informed about their acceptance and will receive further information.

Participants are obliged to cover travel, accommodation and part of meals expenses.

On behalf of the Karkonosze College in Jelenia Gora we are pleased to invite you to the Erasmus+ Conference and the 4th International Staff week at the Karkonosze College in Jelenia Gora. The event will be held between 16-20 April, 2018. 

The main goal of the conference this year is to discuss the issues of cooperation between Higher Education Institutions and the local job markets. Moreover, topics such as internationalisation at home will be taken up, including the recognition of student and staff mobilities, students and staff counselling, cooperation within consortia as well as intercultural communication. This week will provide an opportunity to meet with staff from Karkonosze College in Jelenia Gora as well as invited guests from partner countries within KA107 from Syria, Ukraine, China and the USA.

We hope that the comprehensive program of the Erasmus+ Conference and the 4th International Staff week at the Karkonosze College in Jelenia Gora, will give us the opportunity to gain new knowledge regarding Erasmus exchanges and will help us strengthen uur existing partnerships while presenting information about our lovely border region of Poland with the surrounding Giant Mountains: Karkonosze where the College is situated.

The participation fee for the staff week is €70 and includes conference materials, coffee breaks and lunches during 4 days, a guided visit to the Pearl of the West (Perła Zachodu) and the city of Jelenia Góra as well as the study tour around The Jelenia Góra Valley of Palaces and Gardens, and Cieplice Spa. The price includes also free use of the gym and the swimming pool facilities at Karkonosze College in Jelenia Góra. Welcome and Farewell Dinners are optional and will cost €30. Moreover there is a possibility to take part in a guided tour to Wrocław, which will cost additionally 35 Euro.

The Library and Information Center of the University of Patras happily announces its 5th Erasmus Staff Mobility Week for Librarians. We welcome fellow librarians and library staff working in Academic and Research Libraries or similar institutions to share their knowledge and expertise and help create a strong network of libraries in Europe.

The program will include presentations and workshops of the Library and Information Center’s services and on-going projects, as well as cultural events, combining thus education and recreation.

We expect our applicants to have knowledge on areas, such as cataloguing, circulation, digitization, open access and information literacy, without of course excluding other professionals working in a Library.

Cost

We do not charge any participation fee, but visitors will cover their own expenses for travel and accommodation. Some meals and coffees are included in the program. Participants are encouraged to use the Erasmus Mobility Grant.

SSS Valencia  is a five-day international staff training week that aims to improve the key professional skills of Support Services Staff from Higher Education Institutions.  Participants will have the opportunity to work on their technical and social abilities in an authentic international setting.

Upon completing the course, participants will have strengthened their communication and team-work skills, and increased their competence in the management of University Support Services tasks.

The event  lasts 25 hours, divided into five hours of work sessions  per day. Fees: 380 € per person, including work materials, welcome paella meal, guided visit on the UPV campus, and farewell lunch. Extracurricular activities (not included in course fees): guided tour in old town Valencia, Spanish food cooking session and Valencia Fallas visit.

Small work groups are created along the scheduled activities.  Sessions involve specific job shadowing (welcome services, facility management, post services, academic information and web resources among others), applied language and IT training, and topic-oriented coaching workshops.

Participants are expected to obtain Erasmus+ Staff Mobility grants from their home Institutions. The ETSIAMN will assist with booking accommodation.

The theme of the international week in 2018 is ‘Customer in Focus – Designing Services in Higher Education’. The programme is partly intended for everyone, and partly theme-specific. The subthemes organised by different units are:

  • Designing Student and Admission Services
  • Financial Services
  • Human Resources
  • Contract and Innovation Services
  • Multicustomer communications – defining customer and designing services
  • Physical & Digital Campus Services (including Facilities Services, Security, Space Bookings and Navigation and IT Services)
  • Pedagogical Solutions (Including International Summer School, Digital Summer Semester, Innovative Curriculum)
  • RDI Services (Including Funding instruments and Research groups)
  • Services in International Relations & Mobility
  • University and Business Cooperation: From Customer to Partnership (Including Marketing and selling continuing education and services, Career and Recruitment Services, Alumni Relations)

The participation fee is 150 €. This fee will cover the lunches during the week and evening programmes on Sunday and Wednesday. The fee can be paid by credit card when registering or by using an invoice (an extra invoice fee of €5). The other costs, such as travel, accommodation and daily allowance expenses, should be covered by the participants. Please register on our webpage by 30 April.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology heartily invites you to participate in the 5th edition of the International Staff Training Week from 18th June to 22nd June 2018. You will have a chance to participate in a special workshop on Power of Social Media in Academic Branding.

The training delivered by a Social Media specialist will teach you how to make full use of the social communication and marketing tools you have at your disposal.

Apart from exploring virtual world, you will have a chance to plunge into 100% real, unforgettable atmosphere of Wrocław - European Best Destination 2018. Together with colleagues from other academic institutions you will also be invited to discover a piece of Lower Silesia.

The International Staff Training Week welcomes all university staff.
