Course content ( maximum 700 characters) In a world of information overflow, fake news and emotional appeals, knowing how to think is more powerful than simply knowing facts.
This course is a toolkit for cutting through the noise and for preserving your sound reasoning in real-life situations.
Its aim is to empower students to analyze information and evaluate arguments, to think autonomously and to distinguish between good and bad justifications. Together we will explore the most common logical fallacies, psychological mistakes and hidden biases that shape human thinking. We will develop your creative attitude and unconventional thinking and train your ability to evade mental traps and emotional appeals. The course also touches on some practices for the imprinting of ideas in the public discourse.
Assessment method Individual and  group assignments
