In this course we explore the Early Childhood Intervention as a family-centered approach to supporting children with disabilities/developmental difficulties (aged 0-3) and their parents. The content of the course is focused on the following topics: basic principles of ECI and its connection with human and child rights, basic knowledge on early childhood development (motor activity, socio-emotional development, play and learning, speech development) ant its long-term importance, delivering ECI services (programs, professional team, activities), therapeutical approaches for children and supporting families. During the course the Bulgarian experience in ECI will be presented and discussed.
