EntreAction: AN INNOVATIVE CASE-TO-VIDEOSTORY APPROACH IN ENTREPRENUAL EDUCATION

GOALS 

The overall goal is to discover, implement and sustainably develop mechanisms for interaction and networking of communities between entrepreneurs, students and teachers in the field of entrepreneurship via case-to-storytelling movies. We emphasize on entrepreneurs-university connection that’s why we have invited the company to the partnership as well the Employers association (Associated Partners). Achieving the goal is associated with the key sub-goals as:

  • Establishment of strong connections with local entrepreneurs and collecting stories from each country;
  • Selecting 15 stories to be prepared with scenarios for making short videos with educational content and training teachers how to prepare them;
  • Creating a Digital Library for case stories and storytelling (DigiEntreMovie);
  • Preproduction, production, testing and preparation of translations/subtitles of short educational videos;
  • Preparation of Methodological guide for the implementation of storytelling in education;
  • Introducing video stories to curriculum of the partners Entrepreneurship courses.


Concrete results:

  • Collected at least 30 real stories from partner countries;
  • 12 trained teachers in preparation a short form story for each stage of the entrepreneurial process;
  • At least 15 scenarios developed for making short videos with educational content;

  • DigiEntreMovie, where the movies are stored digitally;
  • Collected free software tools for making short videos with educational content;
  • 12 trained teachers in transforming case studies to videostories;
  • At least 15 short movies with subtitles made;
  • Conducted tests by 30 students and 12 teachers of the short movies during summer school with a common movie prepared by them on the spot;
  • Methodological guide for the implementation of storytelling in education;
  • Upgraded at least 6 curricula of the partners Entrepreneurship related courses.


The goals, sub-goals and results set in the project proposal directly correspond to the implementation of priorities to stimulate innovative learning and teaching practices. By promoting a new educational tool such as a digital video we address a digital transformation and support digital capabilities of the higher education sector. In addition, a methodology for transforming a case study into a video story will be developed, which may inspire other teachers to implement this approach as a teaching practice in disciplines outside entrepreneurship. The establishment of a digital library supports the processes of spreading digital content in higher education by giving it a new meaning, namely an open library that promotes creative learning and teaching.
