Information about the Erasmus+ Programme 2021–2027
Erasmus+ is an educational programme of the European Union. Its main activity in the field of higher education is to support the mobility of students and doctoral candidates for study or traineeships, as well as academic and administrative staff for teaching or training through cooperation with partner universities or other host organisations from EU programme or partner countries.
Overall objective
The overall objective of the programme is to support, through lifelong learning, the educational, professional, and personal development of people in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport in Europe and beyond. In doing so, it contributes to sustainable growth, quality jobs, social cohesion, innovation, and active citizenship.
The programme is a key instrument for building the European Education Area, implementing strategic cooperation in education and youth (2019–2027), and strengthening the European dimension in sport.
Specific objectives
- To promote educational mobility for individuals and groups, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion, and innovation at organisational and policy level in the fields of education and training.
- To foster mobility and active participation of young people in non-formal and informal learning, as well as cooperation and creativity in the youth sector.
- To support the mobility of sports staff and the development of sports policies through partnerships and high-quality innovation.
